ADC2 Wavelet Technology
By applying principles of visual perception, ADC2 has taken advantage of the fact that there is more information in an original image than is required for a human being to “see” and appreciate the image.
By selective removal of perceptually unneeded information from the image, less data needs to be transported or saved. After transmission, and upon reconstruction of the image using ADC2’s proprietary technology, the human eye detects a complete accurate image that is not perceptibly different from the original image. Because these processes are extremely reliable and fast, ADC2’s technology is able to provide real-time video over a wide variety of platforms. Systems and methods applying these principles are easily demonstrated.
When used in conjunction with currently available video coding-decoding systems (“Codecs”), ADC2’s systems and methods can reduce the amount of information needed to provide high-quality, real-time video by up to 80% compared to the compression performance of the codec alone.
